Michael Wyetzner is an architect and painter living in New York City. His firm, Michielli + Wyetzner Architects focuses on cultural and institutional projects for which they have received numerous awards. Their work has been featured in many publications including Metropolis, Architectural Record, Oculus, Interior Design magazine, Green Source and the New York Observer. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
 
His paintings have been exhibited in numerous group shows in the New York area.
 
He received his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Pennsylvania in 1986 and his Bachelor of Professional Studies in Architecture from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983.
 
From 1990 to 1992 Mr. Wyetzner was the resident set designer for the Broome Street Theater and the Tribeca Lab theater groups. In addition to designing and building sets for a number of productions he also oversaw the installation of various art installations in the theater gallery.
 
From 2004 to 2008 Mr. Wyetzner was an Assistant Adjunct Professor in Architecture at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation participating in the Environments + Enclosures Studio.
 
Mr. Wyetzner currently is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the renowned City Without Walls Art Gallery in Newark, New Jersey, a not-for-profit institution that in addition to showcasing emerging artists also brings art and programming to urban youth in the inner city.
 
In addition, he wrote the quarterly Architect Column for Structural Engineering Magazine from 2011 until 2015.
 
He co-curated Unsteady Ground a drawing show with Margot Spindelman and Michael Davis at the City Without Walls gallery in Newark New Jersey in 2013
